19 Cats And Kittens Including One Dead Found In White Oak Home

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Humane Animal Rescue in Pittsburgh rescued 19 cats and kittens from a home in White Oak living in “deplorable conditions” on Friday.
The organization says they took action after they received a complaint.
“The house was covered in debris, feces, & cats were found all throughout the house— including a mother cat & 3 kittens (less than one week old) that were found in a dresser drawer. Sadly, one kitten was found dead upon our arrival,” Humane Animal Rescue said.
An exam of the cats showed they had ear mites and flea dermatitis (including hair loss).
They also were “underweight, dehydrated and suffering from upper respiratory infections.”
The cats will receive care at Humane Animal Rescue’s East End campus until they are ready for adoption.
