Director of Public safety, Wendell Hissrich, says the bus is resting on power lines and is not expected to fall backwards anymore but there is concern that the front end of the bus could fall in to the hole if it expands.
Water is also at the bottom of the 10 to 15 foot hole creating more concerns.
A day care on Penn Avenue has been evacuated as a precaution.
There are road closures in the area and Port Authority says several bus routes are affected.
