Gibsonia Store Capitalizes On 2020 Election

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- Joy Snyder's favorite colors - red, white and blue - play prominently into the decorating scheme in and outside her Gibsonia store, "2020 Campaign Depot." Snyder's William Flynn Highway hideaway for all things "right" may be small, but it sure packs a punch. Just ask the six-foot cardboard cutout of President Donald Trump that smilingly welcomes shoppers inside.

Snyder tells me she remembers the feeling she had back in December that she had to do something to support the President.

"I heard the words 'Trump Store. Trump Store,'" she recalls. "I want to do this for our country. It's important."

Snyder shopped online for a store front and settled on a cute space that she described as small but clean at 5560 William Flynn Highway.

"People come in and thank me constantly," Snyder told me happily. "I'm HOME."

With countless suppliers, Snyder stocks her shelves with all sorts of merchandise. She sells hats and hoodies, t-shirts, bumper stickers, pens, yard signs, even patriotic furniture. But the biggest talker in the store? 

"It's the President," she told me happily.

Snyder says folks have driven from all over town to shop at her store, including a young couple who made the trek from Moon Township. 'They loved it!" Snyder recalled.

"Pennsylvania is a battleground state, and we have some really important campaigns going on here," Snyder explained. "This place is for all the people like me who love America, too."
