ERIE (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania State Troopers in Erie made an unique rescue on Friday.
A Trooper who were on patrol near PA Route 290 when he "noticed something strange alongside the Bayfront Connector."
The officer heard squeaking sounds and noticed there were guinea pigs in distress and quickly rescued five rodents from the side of the road.
Unfortunately two of the guinea pigs did not survive.
The three little pigs are being cared for at the ANNA Shelter in Erie.
The Shelter says the guinea pigs are now up for adoption!
