Pirates Legend Bill Mazeroski's Home Being Auctioned Off

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – Pittburgh Pirates legend Bill Mazeroski’s home will be auctioned off next month.
The 1700 square-foot home is located at 281 Walton Tea Room Road in Greenburg and has three bedrooms, an enclosed sunroom, a finished basement with a built in bar and fireplace, and sits on almost 20 acres of land.
Open houses will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 1-3 p.m. and Tuesday, March 17th from 5-7 p.m, with the auction itself on Sunday, March 22nd.
Mark Ferry Auctioneers of Unity are handling the auction, the same group that helped facilitate a New Years Day auction of Maz's Hall of Fame memorabilia.
Along with the house and property, any gas or mineral deals would also go to the winner.
Mazeroski, a native of Wheeling, WV, played 17 season in the Major Leagues, all with the Pirates, has two World Series rings and is best remembered for his 1960 World Series Game 7 walk off home run to give the Pirates their 4th Championship defeating the New York Yankees 10-9
