Good news for event venues.
The U.S. Small Business Association is set to reopen the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program portal for event venues that have been negatively impacted by the ongoing COIVD-19 pandemic.
The SBA website says the program will reopen on Saturday, April 24 after having completed "rigorous testing."
The program includes over $16 billion in grant for shuttered venues.
According to the website, applicants may qualify for up to 45% of their gross earned revenue, maxing out at $10 million.
Those eligible to apply for a grant include Live venue operators or promoters, theatrical producers, live performing arts organization operators, museum operators, motion picture theater operators (including owners) and talent representatives.
Qualifying businesses must have been operational as of February 29, 2020.
Grants for those who received a PPP loan, will have have the grant money reduced by the amount of the loan.
Businesses can learn more at the SBA website and can apply for the grant.
