Investigators have made an arrest in a homicide last year in Penn Hills.
The victim, 16-year-old Jafar Brooks, was shot and killed at the Leechburg Garden Apartments back in December of 2020.
The suspect, 17-year-old Timothy Whitfield Jr. is facing charges of homicide, robbery, criminal conspiracy, and firearm violations.
Allegheny County Police say Jafar is currently being held at a youth detention center in Morgantown, PA and will be transferred to the Allegheny County Jail where he will be arraigned.
