PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) The Pennsylvania Resource Council (PRC) is announcing 5 more upcoming collection events to continue their tireless effort in making our area a more sustainable place to live. With these newly added events, the PRC is indicating that there still is plenty of time remaining in 2023 to commit to recycling various materials.

For the upcoming five collection events, the PRC is providing a space to safely and properly recycle "Hard-to-Recycle Items," "Household Chemicals," and "E-Waste."

"PRC provides residents with numerous options for the recycling and safe management of a wide variety of materials not accepted in curbside pickup," according to PRC Executive Director Darren Spielman. "It's important to manage these materials the right way because many contain toxic elements that can leach into our waterways or introduce dangerous toxins into our environment, while others contain valuable recyclable resources."
