The past weekend saw six new COVID-19 mitigation violation notices for liquor establishments in the Pittsburgh region. Five warnings were issued.
The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement visited 455 business throughout the state over the weekend of February 26-28.
Of those checks, 108 were conducted in the Pittsburgh region.
Officials are checking to be sure the businesses are following mitigation rules put into place by the Wolf administration. Those rules include:
All customers must wear a mask when entering and leaving the business or otherwise travel throughout it
Social distancing of at least 6 feet must be maintained between tables or physical barriers must be in place between them
Occupancy limits must be posted and enforced.
On Monday, Governor Tom Wolf increased the allowed capacity for indoor and outdoor events.
