A homeless encampment on Stockton Avenue is being fenced off by Pittsburgh's City Public Works.

The city has been working on transition plans for those who were staying at the camp on Stockton, around 35 have already moved the past week.

Second Avenue Commons, which is a shelter that can house up to 135 this winter, is housing many of the displaced homeless. But, it's quickly filling to capacity, raising concerns of many about housing.

There are signs around the camp saying that it's no longer permitted to camp there and that any belongings would be held for six months for the former residents to claim.

The camp had started up in the summer and continued to grow into the winter to more than three dozen tents.
