Allegheny County Health Department taking calls for COVID vaccines in Monroeville

PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — The Allegheny County Health Department says that starting at noon today, call-takers at 211 will provide phone support for scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

Those call-takers will also answer questions about the vaccines.

The health department says there will be 750 available slots for the next two weeks, and they are expected to fill quickly.

All of the appointments will be for the health department's vaccine Point of Dispensing location at the DoubleTree Hotel in Monroeville.

The 211 line is only for scheduled appointments for people who are 65 and older and only for the Monroeville location.
