The brand-new Pittsburgh International Airport terminal opened this week.
Things went as smoothly as possible, but there was one mistake that was quickly noticed after the new airport opened its doors.
The famous Franco Harris statue at the Airport, reenacting the Immaculate Reception, got its own area.
But social media site oneBURGH noticed a typo on the decorated wall.
The score painted on the wall was Steelers 12 – Raiders 7, but the game ended with a score of 13-7.
Bob Kerlik, Public Affairs Director with the Airport, tells KDKA Radio, the current background is meant to be a collage of several moments in time depicting the immaculate reception and celebratory moments afterward.”
But, Kerlik added they will make the adjustment.
“We know the details are important to Pittsburghers and in order to make the background clear, we will adjust the clock to depict how much time was left when Franco scored – prior to the extra point – and other adjustments as needed.”
The Franco Harris statue is made possible through a partnership between the airport and the Heinz History Center.
Unlike the Michael Keaton Pittsburgh Walk of Fame star that had the misspelled named “Micheal”, this perceived typo should be a lot cheaper to fix.
