Patrols by Allegheny County Police in Downtown Pittsburgh have ended.
County officers had been providing a stepped-up law enforcement presence since early February while the city recruited new officers.
In a release, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald says county officers are ready to help again if necessary.
"The safety and security downtown, as our county seat, is a priority for us as well, and we will provide any assistance and manpower needed," said Fitzgerald.
