The Allegheny County Health Department reports a slight increase in the number of monkeypox cases.

The number of confirmed monkeypox cases in Allegheny County is now up to 54.
The Health Department reports seven new cases were confirmed this week.
Since the county began keeping track the number of new cases has only increased by single digits each week.
The exception was the final week of July when there were 16 cases reported.
The Department says the monkeypox vaccine is available for people at a high risk of exposure.
A full list of providers providing the vaccine is available at the Allegheny County Health Department's website.
