Aramark has furloughed more than 1,200 employees in Pittsburgh as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The furloughs come after having to cancel seasonal-based events at PPG Paints Arena and PNC Park.
Aramark remains hopeful that they can rehire these employees when attendance restrictions are lifted.
In early October, Governor Tom Wolf relaxed restrictions for venues allowing Heinz Field to have up to 7,500 people in attendance at games. That's about 15 percent capacity for the venue.
