PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) — Three members of the Archangel Gabriel School in the McKees Rocks and Robinson areas have tested positive for COVID-19 over Thanksgiving break.
While the exposure wasn’t school-related, administrators will now move to remote learning out of caution and in conjunction with recommendations from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Archangel Gabriel School and its preschool will close for four days to stop the spread.
Students will be able to return to the physical classroom on Monday, Dec. 7.
As mentioned above, the school will be transitioning to e-learning for the time being.
“The well-being of our students and staff is our priority. We will continue with our mitigation efforts to deep clean and sanitize the school. Virtual learning will continue through next week as our goal to begin in-person learning is on Monday, December 7th. I am thankful to our school community for their patience and prayers during this time,” said Archangel Gabriel principal Cathy Militzer.
