PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) A 31 year old man was tased by police and arrested following an incident overnight in North Park.
Officers were called to North Park around midnight after receiving reports of a woman screaming near the tennis courts.
Police say at some point it looked like the man had a weapon on him, but he refused to get out of the car.
He had to be forcefully removed from the vehicle, the man put up a fight but he was eventually tased and placed in custody.
Police said they did find a knife on the man.
Crews then searched North Park for a possible victim but nobody was found.
The man arrested, Austin Smyers, is charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault along with resisting arrest.
