Atria’s restaurant in Mt. Lebanon has closed its doors, but location will return next month under a brand-new concept.

Atria’s announced that after 26 years, the location on Beverly Road will reopen as “1930 by Atria’s” in February.

The latest incarnation of Atria’s was founded 26 years ago, but the name “Atria” goes back to 1930 when Italian immigrant Joe Atria opened a grocery store in Mt. Lebanon. It became a barber shop and after prohibition ended, a place for people to get beer.

Atria’s in Mt. Lebanon closed on New Year's Eve, with renovations underway. “1930 by Atria’s” promises to blend “the rich history of Atria’s with a fresh and innovative dining experience.”

The new menu will feature “rotating dishes and craft cocktails – from elevated entrees and comfort food to small plates and shareables – that showcase flavors from around the world.”

Atria’s has teamed up with Spencer Warren, a native of Mt. Lebanon, award-winning bartender and the owner of the Warren Bar and Burrow in Downtown Pittsburgh, for “1930 by Atria’s”.

Other Atria’s locations in Murrysville and Peters Township will continue to operate as normal, along with Atria’s Specialty Catering.

Atria’s says a large majority of the employees at the Mt. Lebanon location will stay on for the opening of “1930” and previously purchased gift cards for Atria’s will be accepted when the renovated location opens sometime in February.
