As the search continues in Beaver County for the gunman who fatally shot a man in Beaver Falls, a GoFundMe has been started to help support the family of 28-year-old Stephon Peake.
Police say two people attacked the 28-year-old Peake as he was walking along 8th Avenue Saturday night.
Beaver County District Attorney Nate Bible tells KDKA-TV a witness tells investigators that the men responsible may have gotten into a dark colored vehicle.
Bible also says it is believed the shooting was “targeted”.
Residents in the area of 8th Avenue are being urged to check their home surveillance cameras for any evidence and if they find anything to call police.
Stephon’s mother, Stephanie Peake, has started a fundraiser to help pay for his service and burial.
“As a mother, there is nothing harder than having to lay your child to rest,” said Stephanie. “I want to give Stephon the beautiful and respectful homegoing that he deserves. We are planning a service that honors his life and a proper burial to celebrate the life he lived and the love he gave.”
