Pennsylvania's highest court threw out Bill Cosby's sexual assault conviction and released him from prison Wednesday and ordered his release from prison after finding that he was denied protection against self-incrimination.
Cosby was convicted on three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault in 2018 for drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004, and was serving a three- to 10-year sentence. Cosby had already served nearly 2 1/2 years of 3-10 year sentence.
Cosby's release from prison has angered sexual assault victims and advocacy groups like PAAR …..Carlos Golfetto, Director of Clinical Services for PAAR tells Lynne Hayes-Freeland he hopes Cosby's overturned conviction won't discourage survivors from coming forward.
Golfetto encourages anyone who wants to talk to call PAAR's 24/7 hotline. 1-866-363-7273.
