The exceedingly popular gas and travel center Buc-ee’s continues to inch closer to Western PA.
On Tuesday, the Mansfield, Ohio City Council unanimously voted 8-0 to approve a plan that paves the way for a Buc-ee’s in the community a little over 2 and a half hours away from Pittsburgh.
Buc-ee’s will pay for a $15 million infrastructure upgrade to bring the travel center to the area of I-70 and Ohio State Route 39.
The location is expected to open sometime in spring 2028.
Buc-ee's has become a destination for travelers who want to experience the giant-sized convenience store that serves prepared and made-to-order foods, as well as walls of snacks, supplies, merchandise and more.
Some of its most popular snacks include "Beaver Nuggets", banana pudding, cherry maple jerky, fresh glazed almonds, fudge and more.
Based in Texas, Buc-ee's has branched out into the southeast and has started to branch out more to the north.
Buc-ee’s opened its first Ohio location in early April in Huber Heights, a little under four hours from Pittsburgh.
