PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Junior high students attending Butler Catholic School in Butler will be moving to online learning for the remainder of the week.
Through Friday, Jan. 22, Butler Catholic students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades will learn remotely.
This move comes after a staff member came in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
The e-learning will be short-lived, however.
A return to in-person learning is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 25.
The shift only pertains to the sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students, though.
Children in preschool, kindergarten, and up through the fifth grade will attend in-person schooling normally.
Parents have already been informed, and schedule updates will change accordingly, if need be.
"We thank the parents for their understanding and cooperation as we continue to navigate through ever-changing times. May our Provident God keep us all safe," said principal Sister John Ann Mulhern.
