The Oakmont Carnegie Library is expected to re-open to the public Saturday after the library had to temporarily close its doors Thursday after a possible bedbug sighting was reported in a limited area of the building.
In a Facebook post, library officials stated the book collection does not appear to be affected, the building is undergoing professional treatment as a precaution.
While the main floor will be accessible upon reopening, the lower level of the library remains closed until further notice due to severe flood damage sustained during storms in September.
As a standard precaution, library officials recommend that patrons who currently have materials checked out at home inspect the covers, bindings, and creases of their books.
