An update on the Armstrong County woman accused of abandoning her dog before getting on a flight at Pittsburgh International Airport earlier this month.
Charges have been filed against 44-year-old Allison Gaiser of Kittanning.
Allegheny County Police tell us Gaiser is being charged with a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty as well as summary violations for animal cruelty, animal neglect and abandonment of animals by owner.
Investigators say Gaiser abandoned the dog near short-term parking before she boarded a flight to a resort in Mexico.
The dog is said to be doing well.
