PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Pittsburgh City Council will consider next week Mayor Bill Peduto's proposal to spend $16 million to replace 35,000 street lights with LED fixtures.
The goal is reducing energy costs and light pollution and creating a training program for the people installing and maintaining the new lights.
The Tribune-Review reports two council members are hearing from residents with complaints about flickering or failing LED lights already installed in their neighborhoods.
