Clairton man indicted on federal drug and gun charges

A Clairton man could be facing decades in prison after being indicted in federal court for allegedly violating drug and gun laws.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman, 27-year-old Meiko Shawn DeVaughn was charged with possessing and intending to distribute heroin. He was also charged with possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

If convicted of the charges, DeVaughn could be sentenced up to 20 years in prison, be fined $1 million or both.
