Community comes together to save struggling business in Hopewell

A local restaurant’s business underwent a 180 in a matter of days, thanks to members of the community.

Leon’s Caribbean Restaurant in Hopewell posted last Wednesday that they were struggling for customers.

“Good food, good vibes, free adult drinks and clean but yet the place is empty,” the management of Leon’s wrote on a Facebook post. “We wanted to bring something new and different to the area but having a hard time surviving.”

The post went viral locally with over 2,600 shares on Facebook with some saying they didn’t know it even existed and would visit.

The next day and over the weekend Leon’s saw its business doing very well.

They were so busy on Saturday they had to ask customers' to bring their patience.

People posted favorable reviews expressing how good the food is at Leon's.

Leon’s offers Caribbean-inspired appetizers, main entrée’s with jerk chicken, pepper steak and more.

They also have plenty of seafood, pasta, sides and a kid’s menu.

Leon’s is family-owned and located at 2282 Broadhead Road.

There is also a location on East Warrington Avenue in Pittsburgh.
