Consumer Alert issued for Robinson restaurant after roaches, other violations found

UPDATE: The Consumer Alert has been removed.

A Consumer Alert has been issued for a Pittsburgh-area restaurant.

Chutney’s in Robinson Town Center was hit with several violations by the Allegheny County Health Department.

High risk violations include, fluid from a condenser was leaking onto uncovered food in a walk-in cooler. That food was thrown away.

The dish washer was not sanitizing, dirty utensils were found on a particle board shelf and other utensils were found in dirty, stagnant water on the cooking line.

Live and dead roaches were found were found in over 10 areas around the restaurant.

Chutney’s serves vegetarian Indian food in Robinson Township.

The Consumer Alert was posted on January 25, and as of January 26 is still active on the Health Department’s website.
