Allegheny County Police are investigating a report of shots fired in a Pittsburgh suburb that sent one person to the hospital.
According to police, a 911 call reported the incident around 1am Tuesday morning in the 400 block of 3rd Street in Pitcairn, a town about 14 miles east of Pittsburgh.
A man with an injury to his leg was found at the scene, though police did not specify the nature of the injury. He was taken to an area hospital. Police say he will have surgery and is expected to survive.
