The coronavirus continues to surge in October.
Allegheny County is reporting nearly 200 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
In the last 24 hours, 199 coronavirus cases were reported to the Allegheny County Health Department.
137 of those cases are confirmed and 62 are probable.
The age range of the new case are from 3 months old to 91 years old.
Those tests range from September 17 to October 7 but only two of the positive tests collects are more than a week old.
Four new deaths are also being reported. Those occurred over the period from October 15-17.
One is a person in their 30s, and the three others were in people 80 or older. Two of those deaths are associated with long-term care facilities. The health department has no additional information on the person who died in their 30s.

Since March 14, 15,300 cases of COVID have been reported in Allegheny County with 1,405 hospitalizations and 426 deaths.
