Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg are asking the public to disregard a shelter in place alert sent in Westmoreland County Monday morning.
Troopers say there was an incident on Wencliff Lane in Hilltop Estates. The incident is contained to the area.
In a Facebook post, the Jeannette Fire Department said the alert was sent inadvertently and without specific information.
Penn Adamsburg Road is closed until further notice, but there is no threat to the public. The fire department says people do not need to shelter in place.
