Westmoreland County officials say a Jeannette Police Department K-9 was attacked by another dog during a drug investigation Thursday.
They say Jeannette Police were assisting the FBI as the agency was looking for a suspect wanted on federal drug charges.
They say while they were at the Adams Street home in Jeannette, a pit bull jumped a fence and attacked K-9 Diesel.
He suffered a bite to the neck before the two dogs were separated.
Diesel went to the vet to be evaluated and was treated for a minor injury.
