An animal shelter is asking for help after a dog in bad condition was recently found tied to its gate.
Fayette Friends of Animals says a dog “covered in wounds, severely underweight” and without a tail (it had been cut off) was found on Friday.
Luckily, Fayette Friends of Animals says “Sir Didymus” as he’s been named, is now receiving medical care but has a long road to recovery ahead.
Fayette Friends tells KDKA Radio that "Sir Didymus" is improving, "Didymus is hanging in there! He had gained 9lbs in just the week he has been with us. His wounds are healing for the most part. He is a very sweet and loving dog. We think he is going to pull through."
“Sir Didymus” is not the only pet they are caring for, so if you are able to donate to help him and other animals in his situation you can HERE.
