PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - It's that time of the year again. Prepare to set your clocks back.
Daylight savings time ends Sunday morning at 2 a.m. and will not return until March. So who who started daylight savings time, and why?
The answer is Benjamin Franklin.
"In his days they had no electricity - they burned candles," Dr. Knowledge said during the KDKA Radio MOrning Show Friday. "And his idea was you could save a lot of money because you wouldn't need so many candles if you had an extra hour of daylight in the afternoon and evening."
However, there are currently two states that don't participate in the time change.
Find out which states they are by listening to the full interview with Dr. Knowledge above.
