El Colibri is opening a brick-and-mortar location in Garfield.
For years, the Mexican Restaurant operated as pop-up and a ghost kitchen.
Thanks to a $100,000 loan from the Urban Redevelopment Authority, El Colibri is preparing to open an official location Wednesday at 5331 Penn Ave.
Door open at 11 a.m. and will have a special pinata breaking ceremony, Mexican Dandy, merchandise and other giveaways and more.
El Colibri offers authentic Mexican street food.
