In one section of The Anchor Inn in Natrona Heights, you can hear dishes clanking, customers talking, and waitresses taking orders. But it's far from business as usual. More than half of the 68-year-old restaurant is empty, not from a lack of customers. There simply aren't enough employees to wait on them.

Watch the video on this page to see what's going on inside and why restaurant owner Joe Kolek says things are so bad he's starting to doubt their future.

Before the pandemic, Joe says he typically had more than 30 employees. Now, they could use that number but they only have about 15, and half of those share the same last name.  Without family, Joe would be forced to close down altogether.
