Several inches of snow are in the Friday forecast. It should begin between 3 and 5 a.m. and continue for several hours.

Bad timing for morning commuters.

“Plan on deteriorating road conditions later tonight into tomorrow morning, “said AccuWeather meteorologist Dean DeVore. “The winter weather advisories they put out now go from 1 a.m. early tomorrow, Friday morning all the way until 10 a.m. Saturday.”

DeVore expects 2-4 inches of snow and it'll be windy and cold through Saturday in the Pittsburgh area.

The National Weather Service says up to 6 inches is possible when it's all said and done on Saturday.

There will be heavier snow east of the city with a Winter Weather Warning issued for parts of Westmoreland and Fayette Counties and all of Somerset.

Real Feel temperatures will be below zero at times.

If you don’t like the cold, there is some good news, temperatures will be close to 50 next Wednesday.
