Winter weather is on the way, expected to arrive Monday afternoon.

A few snow squalls are possible through tonight. Temperatures will steadily drop through the 30s and reach the upper 20s tonight:

AccuWeather’s Joe Lundberg tells The Big K Morning Show that they expect 1-3 inches in the City of Pittsburgh.

“They should exit pretty quickly tomorrow morning,” added Lundberg.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect now through 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Heavy snow is expected in the higher elevations of Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

Wind gusts could reach 35 miles per hour.

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works says its ready for the snow.

22 salt trucks with plows will begin treating the roads when the snow starts falling and will continue until the precipitation stops.
