TSA officers at the Pittsburgh International Airport stopped a Florida woman that had a loaded handgun at a TSA checkpoint.
She had a .22 caliber handgun with six bullets in the chamber.
Allegheny County Police was alerted when the firearm was found during the x-ray machine checkpoint. The firearm was taken away and the woman was cited on a weapons charge.
While explaining her situation to the police, she said the gun belonged to a dead relative.
As of March 6, 2022, three firearms have been caught at the TSA checkpoint. 32 guns were confiscated in 2021.
