A former candidate for Allegheny County Executive was arrested Saturday, accused of assaulting a police officer.
Will Parker tried to get Ed Gainey’s attention while the mayor was marching in a Juneteenth parade, shouting at Gainey as he followed him.
A detective ordered Parker to give the mayor more space and told him he was being disorderly.
Parker allegedly ignored the officer and was seen elbowing and shoving people close to him.
The detective told him to stop and Parker then shoved the detective.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
