Pennsylvania native, former ambassador to Denmark, launches campaign for U.S. Senate

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - Another name has entered the 2022 U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania.

Carla Sands, a Republican and Camp Hill, Pennsylvania native, has served as an ambassador to Denmark, and appointee to President Donald Trump's Economic Advisory Council.

"I think the leadership has not been great in Pennsylvania, and I think their representation can be better," Sands said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show Thursday. "I want to represent the people of Pennsylvania, so that they have opportunity to raise their family, grow their business and live in freedom without government regulating."

The Cumberland Valley High School graduate is concerned about the threat to ban fracking, open borders and election integrity.

"Somebody has to step up that's going to fight against this," said Sands.

Republican politicians go to Washington, but don't fight and protect our constitutional rights, Sands said.
