The former police chief in Greensburg pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to a drug crime.

Shawn Denning was charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine.

Five other counts were dropped in a plea deal. Denning was arrested in January 2023 and resigned a short time later.

He'll be sentenced in August and is out on bond, facing 5 to 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million.
