Former Pine-Richland Head Football Coach Eric Kasperowicz has retained a lawyer "to reclaim his good name and take action against those individuals who have sought to sully it."

Kasperowicz's lawyer, Joel Sansone, notified NewsRadio KDKA today of the action via email and also has a press conference scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The Pine-Richland School District elected to not renew the contracts of Kasperowicz and his coaching staff earlier this year, surprising the coaches, students and the Pine-Richland community citing bullying and hazing incidents among other issues that happened during Kasperowicz's tenure as coach.

Kasperowicz has denied the allegations and wrote a letter to school officials offering to work with the district to move forward together and heal division caused by the scandal.

The district has said that Kasprowicz will not be returning to Pine-Richland and that they are hiring a new coach.
