A former Pittsburgh resident, previously convicted twice for sex offenses involving child pornography, has been sentenced to prison for possessing material that depicted the sexual exploitation of minors.
U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman announced that 48-year-old Krent Jeffrey Haight will spend 120 months (10 years) in prison and was also sentenced to lifetime supervised release following his prison term.
In November of 2018, the FBI found that Haight had about 1,500 images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, some under the age of 12, when they conducted a search of his home.
While agents were conducting the search Haight admitted that he also uploaded a number of the images to social media site Tumblr.
The former Mt. Washington resident was a registered sex offender in Pennsylvania. The most recent of his two prior convictions involved child pornography.
