Saturday's mass shooting in Buffalo is re-igniting the national debate about gun control.
The shooting that killed 10 people and wounded three others at a grocery store in a predominantly Black neighborhood is being investigated as a hate crime.
The accused gunman reportedly used a semi-automatic rifle he illegally modified to use a high-capacity magazine.
Former U.S. Attorney David Hickton told NewsRadio KDKA's Marty Griffin something should be done about this kind of weapon.
"These AR-15's and high-caliber, multiple-round weapons that just don't belong in civilized society. This idiot up in Buffalo shot 50 rounds."
8-year-old Payton Gendron is accused of "racially motived violent extremism."
