The City of Pittsburgh is hosting a 4th of July celebration this year after having the festivities canceled last year due to the pandemic.

Prior to the start of the city's party, the Fort Pitt Museum is kicking things off with "Fourth at the Fort."

On Sunday, July 4, the museum will host various events from 1pm to 5pm including a flag raising, tomahawk tossing and living history demonstrations.

The flag raising and living history demos are free and open to the public.

Veterans get free admission to the museum on July 4th.
