Fox Chapel’s Baseball Softball Association treasurer faces charges after being accused of stealing over $140,000 from the organization.

The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office say 48-year-old Carla O’Brien was arrested on Thursday and faces several theft charges.

O’Brien was the treasurer for the association for six years between 2019 and 2024.

The association’s board came concerned after “months of many failed attempts to meet with O’Brien to sign the account over to the new officers.”

Officer say O’Brien used funds from different organizational bank accounts for personal use including purchases at places like Fine Wine & Good Spirits, Target, Nike, Amazon and more.

In total, $143,910 were taken from the association’s account.

Last week, South Fayette’s Youth Football Association treasurer was arrested, accused of stealing over $60,000.

And earlier this month, it was reported the former treasurer for Uniontown’s Football boosters was under investigation after $18,000 went missing.
