11 residents in North Strabane Township on Majestic Drive were forced out of their homes in October of 2018 due to landslides on the property.

After waiting for several years for a multi-million-dollar settlement with the township and Ryan Homes, it's currently halted due to a lack of collaboration between the developer of the property and the state's department of environmental protection.

Doug Grimes, one of the effected residents, believes Ryan Homes and North Strabane's attorneys are prolonging the process.

"Watching our home give way to a landslide was certainly traumatic. Since homeowner's insurance does not cover landslides my wife and I have been saddled with taking on a second mortgage as well as legal fees while we endure this legal process."

Majestic Hills LLC put together the Chapter 11 plan initially and funs were close to being allocated to the residents forced out of their homes.

Among the six impacted homes and 11 residents effected, the plan would compensate each homeowner up to $450,000 and allocate approximately $1,000,000 to remediation.

A hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court is scheduled in the Western District of Pennsylvania for January 24th through the 25th.
If the plan is agreed upon, immediate payment would be sent to the homeowners.
