Fundraiser started after mother loses 19-year-old daughter in house explosion set by husband in Castle Shannon

A GoFundMe has been established to help a mother after he daughter was killed and her home was destroyed on Sunday but her husband.

A 19-year-old is dead and her mother has injuries after an explosion and fire Sunday morning in Castle Shannon.

Allegheny County Police say 46-year-old Brian Shelleby was told by his wife Carly he couldn't stay at their house in the 800 hundred block of Corbett Drive because they were separated.

Shelleby told police he responded by pouring gasoline around the home and the structure exploded as he threw the gas can outside.

Lakyn Shelleby died and her mother was hospitalized.

Shelleby is facing charges including criminal homicide, aggravated arson and causing or risking catastrophe.

A prayer vigil is scheduled at the home on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
