One of AMC’s movie theaters in the Pittsburgh area is closing for good
AMC confirms to KDKA Radio that the move theater in the Galleria will close after business on Sunday, October 25.
“AMC routinely reviews the theatres in our circuit and makes decisions based on what will best strengthen the Company going forward,” AMC said in a release. “We thank our Mount Lebanon 6 guests for their patronage and encourage them to continue enjoying the AMC experience at AMC South Hills Village 10.”
AMC adds that the worker at the Mount Lebanon AMC location “will have the opportunity to transfer to nearby AMC locations.”
The Bravo Italian Kitchen restaurant at the Galleria closed last month.
The theater closing coming amid speculation that the entire Galleria will be closing soon.
But, The Galleria’s owner, Roadside Development, tells KDKA-TV that the mall is not closing and remains open.
A rumor has been circulating online that the mall would be closing by the end of November.
According to a report this past spring, the Galleria’s new owners want to bring a Wegmans supermarket location to the South Hills.
